i guess i really should start blogging now, before the clock strikes 12am, bringing in the new year 2008. just finished reading yingx's blog. pretty inspirational i must say. just reminded sis to type her last post of 2007 now before its too late. hahaha.........

so now, im stuffing my face with love letters we bought from hong kong. now let me dg into my memory bank and see how many memories i can extract out - like pulling a bunny out of a hat.


2007: In a nutshell

January: went to acjc. i remember hating it to the core, and i would drag myself out of bed every morning. everyday i felt like dying. i would complain and complain and complain. ah ma passed away too. it was really sad. it was also the time mum broke off ties with her family. loved our orientation dance! <3

febuary-april: got my olevel results and moved from ac to hwachong.

may: qing ming without yingxy and uncle koon meng?? :P wont be the last - unfortunately.......

june: june hols!!!!! didnt study as much as i should, and i fell sick and missed my exams, which was part of the reason for my downfall.

july: sabbaticals in school. shant elaborate much. also block test time. YUCK. YINGXY CAME BACK!!!!! XDXDXD and our dear aunty poh lan passed away. she had an accident on the day of samantha's one month birthday. which is pretty ironic. cos the day we are celebrating a life, also brought along a death. still remember i was throwing a big fuss about missing our harry potter premiere. :P also tortured yingx by trying to teach her my orientation dance during aunty poh lan's funeral :P

august: national day?? LAME.

september, october: ok, nothing significant.

november: well, received the worst news of my life. should know what im talking about. mum was even worried i would do something stupid. otherwise, its holidays! :)

december: went to hong kong from 5-9 dec. erm, yea, besides that, nothing else. oh. mum and i are currently having a Jumong marathon. lol!! :P




ok, i got a feeling im missing out a lot, but hell, im getting old. :P today was also my grandma's 1st death anniversary, according to the chinese calendar. im looking forward to a new year, where i can learn from this year's mistakes and live life to the fullest. i know it won't be easy, but i'll try my best. the time is now 11.43 am. 17 minutes to the new year. in 2008 im turning the big 1-8. im gona learn to drive!!! :D M18 movies here i come!! we're moving into our new house! theres so much to live for, so much to look forward to. as ac puts it, the best is yet to be. :)

i spent the entire day out today.

first, woke up early, and went to the house to bury coins in the ground. bah. so not the work for a girl like me. i'm not a weakling, im a xiao jie. then went for a yummy breakfast of bak chor mee. :D yay im happy.

after that, i went for my class party at leedon heights. the turnout was pathetic, like slightly over 10 of us, and not everyone stayed for the most of the time. we played mahjong the whole day, and i must say, im not very crazy about the method my friends play. dun understand la. much easier when playing with cousins.

reached home at about 9.30pm, and yangx and aunty allyson were here. then we went into our playstation frenzy, namely puzzle fighter and Life! i tell u, i have the golden touch for Life! today. it was amazing. we played it twice in a row and i won both times!!! :D yangx was really poor thing the 1st time round, it was like he lost money on every square he landed on. his luck was really so bad it was hard to believe. in the second game, yangx's luck improved alot, whilst sis went down. and i just won yangx by $5000!! AMAZING!!! the first time i had twins and a baby girl, and the 2nd time i had a girl and a boy!!! yingx, u noe how crazy i am about having children right?? :D HAHA!!! yay im happy! :) it would be perfect if only u were here with us.

yep. long day today. valerie gave me a pair of earrings for xmas. yay i love val! :) love lou too. seesh........ i better say so before she starts complaining like a jealous girlfriend again. -_-'''

i think my day today made me realise that i really enjoy spending time with my family more than anybody else. okok, lou included. i feel so loved, and i know im always safe in their company. love love love my family, and im so glad that i'll always have them to come home to. :)

HAPPY BOXING DAY!!! :D

actually didnt want to blog today cos im lazy as usual, but since i had to log in and relink arfah's blog, i thought, ah hell, why not?

woke up early today. and mind u i didnt have a gd sleep last night cos the zombies from "I am Legend' freaked the daylights out of me. couldn't get to slp. so when i woke up at 8, i was a zombie myself. bleh. then mum dragged me to the new house cos for some silly fengshui reason, she has to put coins below the floor tiles. whatever. so i had to go there and help while this tile cutter was positively bursting my eardrums. then i went home early myself in a cab cos i simply couldn't stand the boredom of being there.

came back, and turned out yingxy was on msn!!! and we brought on the webcam baby!! i finally saw my darling and uncle koon meng. gosh..........i miss them both so much it hurts. unfortunately, something happened to my connection and we were cut off halfway. so sorry yingx, to cut u off so abruptly.

went for a nap at 2pm and woke up at 5pm. i neeeeeeeeeed slleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppp............ even so, i didnt sleep very well, cos i had a nightmare about mum wanting to sell the house. i was hysterical, and i was screaming all the swear words there were in my vocabulary. gosh. boy, that was frightening. hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn. did i spell that right???

anyway, as i was walking along the road today, i was slowly enjoying that there were actually people around, cars flowing nonstop - i'm so glad im not alone. i suppose the I am Legend show has a big impact on me; it really shows u that no man is an island. human beings are really people-animals, not unlike dogs. :P so i guess the moral is dont say you want to be left alone, cos u may gte much more than u bargained for.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! tis the season of giving, of love, joy and happiness! :D so to all my friends and family out there, even if the world stops spinning and everyone forsakes you, I'D STILL LOVE YOU!! :D

so we went to watch "I am Legend" with yangx, then went to the new house. my walk-in wardrobe is now a lovely baby pink! i like! then yangx and aunty allyson came to our place for dinner.

yep, thats it for me. i'm glad u liked the prezzie yingx. i was so scared it would get lost in the mail. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :D

i must be the laziest blogger on the face of this earth. well, it's not my fault that my life is so boring......... i'm not like Natari Lim Wan Ying who has the attention of soooooo many boys and cool functions to attend and whatsmore........ a white christmas!! we're not even celebrating christmas for christs sake....... -_-"'

went out with lou yesterday. i haven't seen the girl in like, more than too months. and may i say i am so extremely jealous of her that i could spit. she went to Harvard Campus!! thats like where i've been dying to go since forever. then she suggested that we go do manicures. and i must say, it is one of her best ideas ever. i never had a manicure before. the filing felt a little weird and ticklish. and now my nails are a lovely sparkly-bronze color, and i can't help admiring them whenever i can. :P

ok well, we went shopping for dining chairs today. got some though i don't really like them. but mum does, cos that's all it matters. my mum has got to be the fussiest shopper ever. even worse than me. seesh...... otherwise she'll go shopping for days and days and still not find something she likes. i still havent bought my bed yet. and i'm starting to think twice about the 4-poster. sigh. moving house is such a headache. whats worse is actually building your own house.

so my new room has been painted. the first coat at least. i must say that paint colors in the catalogue are very deceiving. i chose a more reddish color, but it turned out more pinkish to me. sigh. what to do? but nvm. the walls are mostly going to be covered by curtains or wallpaper, so it kinda covers it up.

yep. thats all for today. i can't believe i'm telling the whole world that my mum bought dining chairs. seesh! who the hell wants to know that??

went to watch "The Warlords". pretty bloody. so that calls for that NC16 rating. omg takeshi kaneshiro is HOT HOT HOT. love love him. :D

when dad went to Cheers to buy water, sis and i found the world's thinnest condom. only 0.03 cm!! and the tagline was something like, "thinner for a better feel". around there la. next time i'll get it for my guy friends or boyfriend. LOL!!

bought 2 lights for the new house today. i tell you, i'm like shopping EVERYDAY. no kidding. kinda of sick of it now. and i officially HATE shopping with dad. i like it when it's just me and mum, and we can let our creative juices flow. no wonder he's not an interior designer. he'll be fired on the first day.

yingx, tell me when you get the present k? seesh! why is it taking so long??!! :(

i've been sooooooo lazy to blog lately.

sch is starting in less than 2 weeks and i'm soooooo dreading it. i'm totally beat today cos we spent all our time walking around furniture shops today. bought matresses and locks for the new place.

stopped by cold storage along the way and i saw those pregnancy test thingies. technology is super advanced now! you just put it into your urine and you'll get the result in like, 10 seconds. i was really tempted to buy 1 and try! XDXDXD it was on sale anyway....... :P

now, i'm having a headache deciding if i should stick to my 4-poster bed, or my round bed which was what i originally wanted. great. more stress.

sorry yingx. i'm really exhausted. till tmr then. OH YES. HAS YOUR PRESENT REACHED YOU YET YINGX?

nothing much to report today. just bought a new alter table and some lights. went to ntuc in the morning......and had a really, REALLY weird dream. shan't go far into that cos it's rated R21. haha! :P

and yes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YANGX!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!! *MUACKS!!!!*

anyway, i bought the december issue of Cleo magazine a few days ago, and there's this device available now that tests a woman's urine to see if she's safe to have sex or not and not get pregnant. it's like the pregnancy test. except that instead of checking if you are pregnant, you check to see if you're safe to have sex without getting pregnant.

so if it's green, go on and have a naughty night. :P

today was a really long day, but no less an exciting one! we woke up early today, like before 8, and went to the National Museum to see the greek artifacts loaned to us from the Louvre Museum in Paris, no less. can't even remember the last time i went to the museum. we were early, by about 5 mins. it opens at 10am, and we were already outside waiting. haha! sis said we were like nerds anxiously waiting to lap up centuries of knowledge. :P anyway, we were lucky cos it so happened that entry was free today! :D so i guess we were really meant to see the stuff today. it was a really interesting and enriching experience. i love greek statues and history! ohhh, what will i give to go to the actual Louvre man............

next, we went for lunch and sis and i went to watch Mr Magonum's Wonder Emporium whilst the folks watched Good Luck Chuck. i felt it was really a waste cos i had already downloaded good luck chuck. so it's kind of money wasted. but whatever. it's R21, so we can't watch- legally, that is. but you don't think that's gona stop me, is it? :P JESSICA ALBA BAYBEH!!! the wonders of the internet is an amazing thing........ :P

after the movies, we went to the new house. more stuff are up now and we're gona start painting soon, but i still can't believe the house is actually gona be livable in less than 2 months. they still look far, faaaar from it. sis and i waved to this toddler who lived next door, and we made him cry. XDXDXD it's not our fault that he's shy!! wuss.....sissy....... i was an extremely friendly mood. i was even waving to a worker drilling on the roof. ahahahaha!! :P

yep. went for dinner at the Springleaf Taiwanese Porridge, you know the one we always go to after qing ming yingx? are you jealous? LOL. yep, and that concludes my day! i think will be more shopping for the house and err...... ntuc........ yea...... i'm not sure. till tmr then! :D

what did i do today?

ok. went to the curtain shop to confirm the colors and stuff. we're spending over 20K on curtains and wallpapers alone. scary eh?

later followed mum to a furniture shop but they moved. whoopdedoo. headed to great world city to get groceries. change my watch battery and develop the HK photos. the photos cost a freaking $127.60 man!!! im glad mum and dad didn't say much about it. must be because i put them beautifully into the photo album and now it's all nice and pretty. i'm good. :D

so after a few hours on the album, i'm blogging now. tmr i wana watch the mr something wonder emporium movie! natalie portman!! she's cool man.

dad brought us to Shangri-La hotel for buffet lunch today. and since it was soooooo expensive, i made sure i had my fair share of sashimi. :D gosh, i think i was FULL on sashimi. i didn't have much space left for the other food and went straight for the dessert. i think there was a whole portion of food i didn't try.........

after that, the folks dropped us at wheelock place to buy yingxy's ipod skin. so yingx, your present is SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED, IT'S YOURS!!!!! ;D hahahaha!!! sorry man, couldn't resist. i hope it reaches you by christmas. so when is my Garage coming??!! :P

went to taka and bought a clip for my hair. gosh. do you know how grossly overpriced these hair accessories are? one can cost like 80 over bucks. i even saw one which was $115. sca-reeee. finally got one which was reasonable and pretty. surprisingly, sis didn't complain as much. and she had a good reason not to. cos she didn't bring her wallet, and i was the one with all the cash. :P so while we were walking to the bustop, she asked, "do you have any money sis?" and i was like "don't worry lil sis. i'm taking you home with me in one piece, with not a strand of hair left behind and complete with a 'santa loves me' stamp." LOL. yes, i'm a nice sister. :P

stopped at cold storage to buy groceries for mum and got this blister between my big toe and 2nd toe. OUCH!!! :( shan't elaborate too much on that........so now i'm home blogging.

yes folks, the princess is back! :) after 6 days in hong kong, i'm finally back on our sunny little island. i shan't elaborate too much now cos i'm not really in the mood. wait for me to upload some pics then i'll take you on a picture tour.

just a rough overview. touched down tuesday night and went straight to sleep. :P we stayed at the holiday inn. the next day we went to ocean park and victoria peak. 3rd day: Disneyland!! it's small. and i mean, REALLY small. the most exciting thing was the space mountian, which we went on twice. no peter pan, no pirates of the carribean, NO SPLASH MOUNTIAIN, yes. it was pathetic. but i won't be too critical, cos its Disneyland! its the happiest place on earth where dreams come true! next, we went to macau and the last day was for shopping.

and now i got a massive headache due to the ferry ride to and from macau. its been 2 days already and i still feel like i'm rocking. its infuriating.

i missed my bed. so so so so much. and of course, i miss you yingxy.

i think my parents have gone a bit cuckoo. to my sis' delight of course.

WE'RE GONA GET ANOTHER DOG.

not now, but when we get to the new house. mum mentioned it a few days ago, and i shot it down cos i was sure daddy would say no. but then today, dad came along and suggested it too! i was pretty hesitant at first bcos you know, when the novelty wears off, its not gona be easy looking after 2 dogs. ping an is already such a handful. but then, the 3 of them are so bent on it that they ignored me and we've even decided on the name.

it's going to be called "Yong Le". "yong" from "yong yuan"(forever) and "le" from "kwai le"(happy). it took us ages to decide. now we've narrowed it down to a west highland terrier or a sausage dog. sis really wants the sausage dog. i'm want the terrier.

and through all this time, i felt so bad for ping an. i wonder if he knew we are all planning his impending doom? for the past 7 years he has been the centre of our affections. now he's gona have to share it! and his snacks too!! oh man, i feel sooooooo bad for him. :(

can just picture aunty allyson calling us crazy already. :P

all due to the fact that there is not one, but 2 video shops across our home, sis and i have been going on the ULTIMATE Friends marathon for the past 2 weeks.

oh gosh, i have lost count how many Friends dvds i've ploughed through. i've almost completed the entire season 3, best of season 5,6,7 and the best of chandler, ross, joey and rachel. i'm telling you, its a hell lot. but i'm so scared i'm gona get immune to all the comedy! last time i used to laugh and roar with laughter at the 3 guys, and now i'm like, hmm. ahh. ok. damn it! next i'll go on to prison break. :P

nah......i really should start studying..... :(

went to the curtain shop yesterday to finalise the decor of my room. and i'm telling you, I'M SO HAPPY!!! :D it's gona be gold and maroon and shades of red and pink blah blah. i can't wait for it to be done! the wait is killing me! killing me.......

yangx and aunty allyson came over yesterday to play mahjong. yangs looked so different!!! apparently its bcos his hair is long and his lips swelled due to the cold in canada. so he and sis spent the rest of the night playing xbox.
