i did some clearing of my wardrobe today. turns out i don't have that much clothes as i thought i had. guess what. WE'RE GONA HAVE A GARAGE SALE!!! AHH!!!!!! cos we can't possibly bring all our stuff along with us, so we're gona have to sell them. can you believe it, mum even wants to sell the FRIDGE. LOL. it's probably in the 1st or 2nd week of july. sis and i are already discussing the prices. i want money money money!! we're gona put an ad in the newspapers so look out for it!

i'm so excited about the thought. i really hope it's a success cos i know i will be very disappointed if the turn out sucks. keeping my fingers crossed. oh yes, we found a place to rent already yingx, so we'd probably move out in july or something. bye bye my good old house for the past 16 years. it's gona be so hard.

i had chem tution today and time seemed to crawl like shit. my brain is completely, 100% saturated with facts. oh god it's gona explode. a reply to yingx's tag, yes, johnny storm is HOT HOT HOT. AHHHH!!!!!!! and whatsmore, he's MINE. you already have dave nasu!! :P:P:P

yep. dats all i have to say. went back to school today and it felt weird going back for the first time after 3 weeks. but, i'm not complaining. :)

went to watch fantastic 4 today while the folks and sis watched ocean's 13. it's not bad. better than the first one. but the 'wedding of the century' wasn't as great as i expected. there wasn't anything to make you go whoa! ahh well.......and yes, a couple of jokes here and there. johnny storm was really cute in this film. better than the last one. man he is hot. :P and he's kinda sweet to his sis, when she was getting married. sigh......

dad's on leave today, that's why we went out. erm, yea, nothing else. better go study. bye folks.

omg.........my diet is killing me. MY STOMACH HURTS!!!!!! argh!!! the worse thing is my family keeps eating the nice nice food in front of me. my sis and dad had chicken katsudon for lunch today and ahhh!!!!! i wanted to die!!! i'm a fantong and i can't eat rice or noodles!!!!! somebody just kill me.........

today is fathers' day. make sure you do something special for your dad over there yingx. nothing to report except school is starting in a week. i'm shit dead for my exams.

can't believe it's been 7, 8 months since you've gone yingx. it's crazy. absolutely insane. it really is a miracle i lasted this long.

i've got it i've got it!! i've got the pics of baby samantha! haha! mum sis and i went to see debbie in the hospital today. just seeing those cutie pies fueled my ambition to be a gynaecologist again. but really, the nursery was quite empty. less than 10 babies, all due to the declining birth rate. 30,000 babies a year when the government is aiming for 50,000. sigh. people are not giving birth enough nowadays.

ok, before i post the pics up, let me talk about my day. ok, well, not the whole day since it's only 1.30pm. anyway, i woke up this morning actually feeling like i want my own baby. yes, the way i put it sounds a little weird. how do i say it.......hmm...............as in, i have always feared motherhood, the pain of the delivery, spending money on the kid instead of LV and Prada, and teaching to child to have a straight and upright character. that's the most diffucult. i'd just die if my child to be a murderer or something. you get the picture. but this morning i just wanted to have my own baby, and all these fears were left far behind. i wanted to see the little being in the nursery knowing that it came from a part of me, and holding it in the car as i go home, kissing it goodnight, it's cute face screwed up when it yawns, picking a name for it, teaching it to walk, waking up eagerly every morning to see it, the first time it calls 'Mama'......................priceless. i'm just smiling thinking of it. i guess motherhood is what makes a girl a woman. i think i've been in contact with too many babies these few days. first, my chem tutor always tells me about her 8 month old son, Wayne, as in Bruce Wayne, haha! and how cute he is. he really is ya noe, i saw the picture. super chubby, but i think Samantha is cuter. :P yep, and today now Sam. sis was talking about adopting her own child, and she said that i'd definately get married no matter what i say cos my hormones won't allow me to remain a bachelorette. :P:P:P true true. i don't like the term spinster, makes you sound like a loser. LOL.

anyway, so much for my thoughts. it's turning into a really sappy post, which totally was not my intention. so now, presenting to you, Samantha Lim Kai En!!! Enjoy!! :D

i better blog today before yingxy comes screaming for my head. well, erm, i did nothing really. exams are in less than 2 weeks and i'm as dead as a dodo duck. oh yes yingx! debbie, kang yan gege's wife gave birth already!!! we've got a new addition to the Lim family!! we're gona be aunts again! whoopie!! her name is Samantha. we haven't gone to see her yet but i'll do so as soon as possible and upload the pics here! oh yingx, if only you could come back soon!

er, yea, so yes. i really didn't do anything. would having chemistry tution count? haha. i didn't take a step out of the house today. sigh. i'm getting sick of these 4 walls. sukhveen messaged me out of the blue yesterday and boy was it great to hear from her! :) both of us agreed that the first 3 months in AC was the happiest of our lives. we're gona plan another gathering after exams. so i've got loads of catching up to do. with lou, yihui and abraxon. exams haven't even started and i'm already planning fo post exams. LOL! :P

just realised that i haven't stepped in the school building for almost 3 weeks already!! boy does that feel good. :D it's still beyond me why they like us to be in school so early. dude, who on earth is awake at 8am?!! seesh.........

so unless you want me to talk crap, well, i don't talk crap. so i'm stopping here. till tmr! :D

last night was a very happy night for me. why? haha...............:D RAFAEL NADAL WON HIS THIRD CONSECUTIVE FRENCH OPEN TITLE, DEFEATING ROGER FEDERER!!!!!!!!! HE IS THE KING OF CLAY ALRIGHT? THE KING OF CLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love my baby. :) whoever dates me next time will have to contend with sharing my heart with Rafa. :P it was a really fantastic match. i was cheering and moaning and dying, much to my sis' irritation. can't help it. when watching a final like that, i'm bound to go a bit insane. roland garros always holds a special place in my heart, cos well, rafa won his first grand slam there :P, and it was the first grand slam i watched since 2005. and of course i wana visit paris sooooo badly!!!!!! so for the past 3 years, the winners haven't changed. female winner is justine henin and rafa is the the male champion. :D what can i say? I LOVE YOU RAFA!!!!!!!!! *muacks!*

right. so since i have got that off my chest, i will recount my past 6 days in shanghai for yingx's sake.

day 1: touch down at the airport. mum was worrying about whether the driver from the hotel would come to pick us up, but i was super cool about it. really, theres nothing to fret about. in the end they DID turn up, so mum worried for nothing. after we arrived at the hotel we unpacked and immediately started shopping!!! :D DUH. we had ajisen ramen for dinner, which you can find EVERYWHERE like starbucks, and shopped shopped shopped until i was dead tired. went back to the hotel and slept.

day 2: woke up, with much difficulty though cos my legs were still aching so much. we had breakfast at this cafe along nanjing road, which is the main shopping district and well, shopped some more. for dinner, we had our meal at this restaurant called Jade Garden strongly recommeded by my cousin, but we honestly felt the food sucked. went back to the hotel after that. mum wanted to shop somemore but i suggested we have an early night and wake up early tmr morning.

day 3: went to yu yuan, a place where they had all those old chinese buildings. it didn't really feel ancient cos you know, it was crowded with tourists and complete with a starbucks. -_-"' i tell you, i've never drunk so much starbucks in my life. after that we went to xintiandi, which i thought was another shopping place but was just packed with restaurants and bars. seesh. then we walked around the area to huaihai road were there were more shopping centres. i wanted to buy tennis balls but found that they were cheaper in Singapore. ended up having japanese bbq for dinner. nothing great really. i don't fancy shanghai food very much.

day 4: shop shop shop and more shopping! can't really remember what we did on this day. oh yes! now i do. we had breakfast at this dim sum place which was really huge and some waiters had to wear roller skates. then spent the whole day at this shopping mall, which of course we had a starbucks tea break in between. that shopping mall was FANTASTIC. my favourite mall ever. just for ladies stuff, they had like 3 levels. and loads and loads of brands!!! omg there were so many i thought my eyeballs would go pop. seriously, you can get lost in the place. mum and i were constantly wondering where we had walked before and where we hadn't. for dinner we had french food at the hotel Le Royal Meridian. i tasted my first fois gras and believe me, it was COMPLETELY AGAINST MY WILL. mum ordered it and told me to have it cos it was so expensive. i even cried and said a prayer for the poor goose. i didn't finish it anyway. i thought it tasted disgusting. went to bed early cos we had to wake up early for the tour to hangzhou the next day.

day 5: tour to hangzhou started at 7.45am. the bus ride was like 2.5hrs long. i was asleep of course. we first went to this famous temple, which i felt was totally violated by so many tourists. it has lost its serenity and that sense of exclusivitity already. too comercialised. similarly with xi hu, the feeling of nature has been lost. the sight of buildings in the distance totally spoilt the mood. i am finally feeling the detrimental effects of tourism. see? geography is so relevant in our lives. :P after that we went for lunch at this hotel where they served us sooooooo much food ok? there was at least 10 dishes plus a soup and there was only 7 of us in the tour group. and the portions were huge. the chef must positively hate us for wasting so much food. ended off the tour by going to the tea plantation where we tried the famous longjing cha, dragon well tea, for direct translation. it was really good! and after that, we hopped on the bus for a very long ride again back to shanghai. i tell you, mum must have visited every toilet we came across ok. she went so often and accused me of not going often enough! dude! i'll go when nature calls ok?! seesh!!! by the time we got back was about 7+pm. we had dinner at this doujiang place and we ordered zhajiang mian each. omg, they gave us sooooooo much noodle, it was scary. yingx, i think even your dad may have trouble finishing it. after dinner we went shopping for more souveniors, and my mum bought 11 cans of snacks to give away to people. we had to do a lot of major stuffing that night while packing.

day 5: had dim sum for breakfast again. i love dim sum! :) then left the hotel for the airport, which is like almost an hour's drive away. turns out we were early, and we spent our time walking around the place. omg i was soooooooo bored!! then finally we boarded our plane back home. :D we touched down about 7.30pm and dad came to pick us and wait for sis at terminal 1, where she was supposed to touch down at 8.05pm. but guess what, they were delayed 2 hours!!!!!! WTH!!!!! i nearly died waiting. finally she came out after i nearly lost my mind and we went home together. :) sounds like she had a really fun trip. hmph! i wanna go too!

yep. so that's it! boy, this must be my longest post in history. btw yingx! my mum got 4 of us the same shirt for souvenior! so you'll get it when your mum goes over. it's another 4 musketeers shirt!!!! keep it safe and wear it often k? :D i miss you yingxy. love you so so so much. when are you coming back? your brother says maybe august! NOOOOOOOO................ tell me it isn't true!! i can't wait that long!!!!!!!!! oh yes, just wondering. have you forgotten how to speak chinese already? :P

haha. have you missed me yingx? you blur blur! i told you i will be in shanghai from 3 to 8 june!!!! so OF COURSE i can't blog.

well, let me just say, the food in shanghai is dirt cheap. mum and i had dim sum, and it only cost us 50 yuan, which is like 10 bucks. but still, the food there sucks. oil, salt, rice and noodles are free there. they give like there's no tmr. the service is even worse. they're so rude and uncouth, and in shops the salesgirls really pressure you to buy stuff. super stressful. some are really unfriendly too. i seriously think they need the courtesy campaign more than we do. also, at the airport, this woman didn't lock the door when she used the toilet. omg i was sooooooo disgusted. thank god the door was left ajar and not totally open, or i would have been scarred for life.

ok. im rather distracted at the moment cos im trying to blog and keep an eye on my baby's score at the french open. i'll blog in more detail tmr.

btw yingx. we bought you souveniors from shanghai. will pass to your mum when she goes over. love you girl.

today was a very interesting day. not in a good way unfortunately. i was having tution halfway when i heard mum throwing up in the toilet. i thought maria was with her so it was ok. then mum suddenly came out and said she needed to go to the hospital. so i had to stop tution halfway to accompany her.

i hurried downstairs to get a cab for mum, and when i did i asked the driver to drive into the estate and wait. when mum finally came down, the cab was gone! stupid driver just went off without waiting!! i was cursing and swearing. luckily another came soon. jasmine, my neighbour also came along to the hospital to help.

so we had mum warded and she's much better now. still uneasy whether we should go for the trip tomorrow though she insists she's fine. don't want a relapse and be stranded in shanghai alone. supposed to have dinner with valerie jie jie and the rest of the cousins but it's out of the question now.

i had a fun time telling everyone mum was in hospital. their reactions were all so comical. so big and loud and............LOL. funny funny.

i want to buy a camera!! but i don't know which one to choose!! price is also an issue. i'm thinking of the canon powershot range. anyone wants to sponsor my camera?? XDXDXD

yingx, thanks for being so generous about dave. but what if it's YOU he wants? :P

sorry yingx. was dead tired yesterday. duno why these few days i have been napping in the afternoon but still manage to sleep like a pig at night. but oh well, i'm LPH. remember how hard it is to wake me? XDXDXD

went out with mum today. she went to CASE and then we went for a korean lunch. then we went shopping around for a toiletries bag to bring to shanghai. i'll be leaving on sunday yingx, and be back next friday! so i won't be able to blog. see if the hotel has free internet access first la. yep. so got what we wanted and then started looking at cameras. my sis lost the last one remember? i'm eyeing the canon A570 IS one. about $400. not bad, i thought it would be $700+. i'm trying to get one so i can take pics of shanghai and upload for yingx and everyone else to see.

i would like to say that my baby is doing extremely well at roland garros and he's through to the 3rd round. those who don't know who i'm talking about has been living on Mars the past few years. i was smiling and cheering him on last night. sigh! it has been so long since i've seen him play. i love you rafa!

maria sharapova is playing well too, and OMG, her dress is STUNNING, BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING. i want her bag and cap too!!!! this one of nike's best ranges ever. i saw her dress on sale for almost $100 la. crazy. but even so, i don't have the figure to wear. i'm hunting for that bag right now.
