so today is christmas, and i woke up forgetting it was anyway. who cares about christmas when yingx and uncle koon meng aren't around? it's become so pointless. so i was watching the 'friends' marathon on star world when mum and dad came back from the hospital (granny got admitted again) and mum practically ordered me to turn off the tv. she took away my one and only source of feeling the christmas mood (cos they were showing all the christmas episodes of friends) god knows which of santa's reindeers gave her a kick in the arse or something..........

so I spent the rest of my uneventful christmas watching the teen choice awards and reading harry potter and the half-blood prince. by the way, for those who don't know, the last harry potter book is called harry potter and the deathly hallows.

and yes, this seems like how I'll spend the rest of my christmas. boring. all those carols singing 'tis the season to be jolly.......blah blah......total bullshit man. yingx, you're not the only one who is alone. remember that I'm halfway round the globe, feeling as miserable as you.

on a lighter note, I keep telling myself that I can survive one chinese new year without yingx, cos shes coming back for CNY in 2008. and for 2009 onwards, with a bit of luck, I'll be away in college overseas, away from my ghastly extended family. so technically, it's just one year without yingx. not forgetting to say that I may visit her in june next year. mum seems quite ok with it, just have to ask her early. and to hell to whatever lessons school may have.

so merry christmas everyone. for your sake, I hope you're having a better christmas than me.
